The author is a professional teacher, having obtained a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education specializing in Physics and Mathematics from PCE, which is affiliated with the Royal University of Bhutan. This academic achievement took place during the period of 2007-2009.
Following the completion of his undergraduate studies, he dedicated his services as a teacher at Bajothang Higher Secondary School until July 2015. Afterward, he decided to pursue a Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Mahidol University, Thailand. During his time as a graduate student, he focused his research efforts on the development of a prototype electronic nose, which utilized a wireless sensor network for monitoring soil nutrients in precision farming systems. This innovative topic served as the core of his thesis.
The author has gained recognition for his contributions in the field of wireless sensor network systems, particularly in real-time data acquisition and the application of electronic noses. Additionally, he possesses proficiency in programming using LabVIEW and Python, and has experience working with various operative devices such as Raspberry Pi, Arduino, gas sensors, and ZigBee.
Throughout the course of his Master's degree program, he showcased his academic work by presenting at three international conferences and one national academic conference. These platforms provided him with opportunities to disseminate his research findings and exchange knowledge with fellow scholars.
Currently, the author harbors aspirations of co-founding a startup project in Bhutan, a long-held dream that he hopes to transform into reality. Family-wise, he tied the knot during his undergraduate studies with a charming lady from a rural village. Together, they now have a loving family comprising of two daughters and a son, leading a self-sufficient and contented life.
At present, the author serves as a dedicated faculty member at Babesa Higher Secondary School, operating under the administration of Thimphu Thromde. In this capacity, he holds responsibilities as the Academic Secretary, member of the SSSD Committee, Games Committee, and Exam Committee. Furthermore, he fulfills the role of proctor for admission entry exams at Jigme Singye Wangchuk Law School. Additionally, he has garnered experience as a marker, assistant chief marker, and chief marker, in addition to being a test developer, at the Bhutan Board of Examination, BCSEA.
Notably, he has recently done a comprehensive review of text book on Space Science and Technology, intended for students in grades IX and X, as well as XI and XII. This endeavor was undertaken in collaboration with the DCPD, Ministry of Education and Skill Development, spearheaded by Physics Curriculum Developer Mr. Phuntsho Norbu at Rema Resort in Paro from June 6 to 12, 2023.
In addition to his academic instruction, the individual's fervor lies within the realm of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). At present, he is engrossed in the development of a student login portal, online result terminals, and staff information systems using Google Scripts. These endeavors exemplify his dedication to leveraging advanced technological tools to enhance educational processes and facilitate efficient information management. By utilizing Google Scripts, he aims to create seamless digital platforms that streamline access to student records, enable real-time result dissemination, and provide comprehensive staff information management solutions. Through his ICT initiatives, he demonstrates a commitment to leveraging technology for the betterment of educational institutions.
