Education plays a pivotal role in shaping an individual's life and character. For seven significant years, I had the privilege of being a student at Babesa Higher Secondary School, where I experienced transformative academic and personal growth. This chronicle of my journey through the school, highlighting key moments and changes that occurred under different leadership.
- First Day on 11th August 2017 under Principal Sangay Khandu: On the fateful day of 11th August 2017, I stepped into Babesa Higher Secondary School with a mix of nervousness and excitement. The school's atmosphere was welcoming, and I soon found myself adapting to the new environment. Under the leadership of Principal Sangay Khandu, the school maintained a strong emphasis on discipline and academic excellence. His vision for a well-rounded education inspired both students and teachers to work together towards achieving their goals. Principal Sangay Khandu's leadership style promoted open communication and a sense of belongingness among students. He encouraged us to participate in various extracurricular activities, enabling us to develop our skills and talents outside the classroom. During his tenure, I learned the importance of time management and the value of setting goals to reach my full potential.
- 2020 under VP Ugyen Tenzin: In 2020, Vice Principal Ugyen Tenzin took charge, bringing a fresh perspective and innovative ideas to the school. His dynamic leadership encouraged us to explore new opportunities for personal and academic growth. VP Ugyen Tenzin's focus on modern teaching methodologies, such as incorporating technology in classrooms, made learning engaging and exciting. Under his guidance, the school initiated several student support programs, including career counseling and mental health awareness workshops. These initiatives showed a genuine concern for students' well-being and helped create a more inclusive and supportive environment. My own understanding of the world broadened, and I gained a deeper appreciation for the importance of adaptability in an ever-changing society.
- 2022 under Principal Rizin Namgyel: Principal Rizin Namgyel took the reins in 2022, and his leadership brought an emphasis on environmental sustainability and community engagement. He believed that education should go beyond the classroom, and students should actively contribute to society. This philosophy resonated with the student body, inspiring us to participate in various community service projects. Principal Rizin Namgyel also emphasized interdisciplinary learning, encouraging collaboration between different departments and fostering a sense of unity among students. Through this approach, I developed a broader understanding of various subjects and their interconnectedness, which has been invaluable in my academic journey.
- 2023 under Vice Principal Tshering Tashi: As of 2023, Vice Principal Tshering Tashi assumed responsibility, maintaining the school's ethos while bringing his unique style of leadership. His emphasis on practical skills and project-based learning has provided a more hands-on approach to education. With a strong focus on fostering creativity and critical thinking, he has motivated students to become independent learners. Vice Principal Tshering Tashi's administration has also encouraged greater student involvement in decision-making processes. This approach has given us a sense of ownership and responsibility for our education and school community. Through his guidance, I have learned to voice my opinions and actively contribute to shaping the school's future.
My seven years at Babesa Higher Secondary School have been an incredible journey of growth and learning. The various leadership styles and changes in administration have shaped my educational experience and provided me with valuable life lessons. I am grateful for the support, guidance, and opportunities that the school has offered me, preparing me to embrace the challenges of the future with confidence and determination. As I move forward, I carry with me the fond memories and valuable lessons learned during my time at Babesa Higher Secondary School.
