Journal Entry: Visit to SHIV NADAR University - A Cultural Tour and Learning Experience

As part of the ITEC program, our cultural tour and visit led us to SHIV NADAR University in Chennai on the 24th of November 2023. The anticipation in the air was palpable as we approached the university, knowing that we were about to embark on an enriching experience. We were warmly welcomed by the Vice Principal and the university team, setting the tone for a well-organized and insightful program.

The welcoming gesture began with the presentation of bouquets of flowers, a symbol of hospitality and warmth. The genuine smiles on the faces of our hosts made us feel not only honored but also at home. It was a small yet significant gesture that set the stage for what turned out to be a day filled with learning, exploration, and cultural exchange.

The session commenced with an introduction to SHIV NADAR University, providing us with a comprehensive overview of its history, vision, and mission. The Vice Principal and her team shared insights into the academic and cultural ethos of the institution, creating a context for our visit.
